And I believe that PJs discovered the quality of the 105mm f2.5 Nikkor lens and, coupled with low prices for bodies and lenses overseas, spurred the rush to the Nikon F as the PJ's premier system camera. At least that's how it appeared to me. I was there at the time. I'm sure the working PJs must have had some influences on the magazines/newspapers they were working for. The results from that particular combination spoke very well for Nikon quality and ruggedness.
