Tell me then, how does Nikon manufacture and sell an F100 for around a
grand? an N90s for $750(discontinued)...certainly cameras which are more
bang for the buck compared to an MZ-S. I would just like for Pentax to
manufacture and sell a comparable unit if they are going to charge a Nikon
price for it. I like quality and know it when I get it. Seems to me the PZ1p
competes better than the MZ-S. Stronger AF motor for example.
FWIW, I am probably with Pentax for the long haul.
I cut my teeth on an ME Super (1984)which I still have and love. When I got
into AF, I bought a ZX5n(pro-camera store sales rep sold me on its features)
which I consider to be an outstanding unit. I then talked my wife into
letting me get a PZ1p(after reading tons of favorable reviews). I absolutely
love it. Easy interface. Ergonomic. Will the MZ-S be next? Maybe. I just
can't get over how it seems like a step backwards in so many ways.
