A very long time ago when the earth was new I decided it was time to
graduate from
the 2 1/14" folding camera I had been using to a 35mm. I was looking to
buy a Minolta
SRT of some kind but the camera store I visited carried Pentax and had a
great deal on
an New "old stock" 150mm f4.0 Super Takumar lens. The Spotmatic had better
handling
so I left with a Spotmatic II w/SMC 50mm F2.0 and the 150mm for what seemed
like a real bargain
price. When the MX was announced a few years later I bought it and sold
the Spotty. (I kept
the 150, and I still have it, it's a great lens). I could kick myself over
the Spotty thought.
