It's true they have not gotten much of your money directly (though it's a LOT more than they've gotten from me!) but you HAVE helped them. By adding to the second hand market, those people who DO buy everything new feel more easy about buying Pentax equipment they are not quite sure of. They know they can always unload it, even at a discounted price, and won't be stuck with something they don't want. At lease that's how I rationalize it...
