Hi All, Just wanted to say thanks for all the useful monopod advice.
A 4 section Manfrotto is on its way. I decided to hold off on getting a specific head for it until I see if one of my current heads is sufficient (and mainly because I found a demo "A 2X-S" that I thought I ought to pounce on). :-) Dan Scott
