Cameron,

As to fragile, my friend's D100 is now in the shop. He said he was in
a smaller boat and got a light splash of water. Nikon says there is
$600 worth of damage - corrosion. They are not going to repair under
warranty. So his 2 month old camera (used for 1 trip) just cost
another $600. Needless to say, he is pissed at Nikon on two counts.
First for making a camera that can't even take a light splash without
severe damage and second that they could care less of him as a
customer to deal with his problem from their brand new camera. All
they are willing to do is fix it for $600 USD.
