I'll have to look at the T4 Zoom, I guess. I haven't seen one. The T4 Super or the Ricoh GR-1 is always with me whenever I leave the house. They ensure that nothing note or newsworthy will happen while I'm out. A photo op will surely present itself when I don't carry a camera.

Yep, $600 will sure buy a lot of prevention or insurance, for that matter. If you get a non-waterproofed DSLR wet, especially with salt water, you might want to consider losing it at sea (after you pull out the Compact Flash card.

Me too, except the T4 Super isn't that easy to replace anymore--discontinued last year. Looking forward to hearing favorable reports of its successor, the T4 Zoom.

I'm surprised the DSLR owner didn't use a big ziploc baggie and some tape just as a CYA.

Of course, $600 would probably buy one of those waterproof housings, wouldn't it?
