Now this is more like it. Someone with actual experience. My opinion may differ from yours, but at least you have made your own opinion. What may affect my view is that I scan at 4000dpi - this makes you VERY aware of any differences. Also, how big are your prints? There is a world of difference between comparing 6*4 prints and comparing slides projected to 4 foot wide.
