I tend to not use aperature control a great deal manually as I follow
a simple guide. If it is moving, set the shutter speed and adjust the
aperature to match. If it is still, set the aperature and set the 
shutter speed to match.

This does not make for alot of changing of the aperature I find.

I think if your first camera was a PZ-1 and you used it a lot and got very 
comfortable with it, the AV and TV wheels on the PZ series would be excellent 
features. I've had one a few years and can never remember which is which, 
which way to turn them ... I like them, I'm just not really comfortable using 
them. But, once you get used to them I'd bet they would be very handy...
