On a Mac, the best use of Photoshop WRT memory management is to create
seperate hard disk partitions and designate them as Scratch Disks. I only
have one on my Blue and White G3, approx 1 Gb totally dedicated to
Photoshop, with the rest (5 Gb) as a normal hard drive. I will shortly be
bringing in a 27 Gb drive, and will be allowing Photoshop to use the
(then redundant) 6 Gb drive as a scratch Disk.

Do Windows Photoshop environments prefer Scratch Disks ?

Cheers,

Cotty
