Yeah, I'm sticking to W2K for the time being. Most of my hardware is pretty
up to date, but I'd rather not risk any compatibility issues.

Mmm I have the same as number one and it runs like a dream, more stable as
long
as you use NTFS, more secure and less prone to crash in the middle of a job.
My main
gripe is finding proper drivers for most of my cards. A lot of software is
not compatable
with XP by the way and many older components esp video cards and internal
modems can
cause major hicups. Run the "Hardware Compatibilty Test" first or check
microsofts site
if you hardware appears on the HCL. If not download all your drivers first
and then run the install. Or you could just dual boot it till you get used
to a NT OS.  The lowest spec PC I've
installed it on was a AMD 450 with 64MB ram and it was ok-but just ok
