Hmmm. How do sites like indeed.com and simplyhired.com get away
with taking Craigslist data then? They take data from all sorts of
sites and index them into one job database. Google.com indexes all
of craigslist. You can search google.com for craigslist content.

http://www.google.com/search?q=cannondale+site:craigslist.org

I don't see the big deal. They may say "you can't use our data" but
Craigslist data is indexed everywhere on the internets.

I think google falls under:
"A limited exception to (b) is provided to general purpose internet search
engines and non-commercial public archives that use such tools to gather
information for the sole purpose of displaying hyperlinks to the Service,
provided they each do so from a stable IP address or range of IP addresses
using an easily identifiable agent and comply with our robots.txt file. "

But I'm not sure about indeed.com and simplyhired.com?

I did notice that indeed.com does not publish a direct link:
http://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=9ba9d06c0abecff1

It all goes through some sort of proxy to send you to CL.

I just emailed indeed.com, I'll see what they say.
