Export to gerber , use Camtastik to print. It has great control features for printing. I never use Protel to print anything including the text reports. It has to many driver problems and not good enough control. Eats too many trees

Printing PCB in strict 1:1 scale is not a easy job. Though you could specify 1:1 print scale in Protel, the output may still real 1:1. And even you got a 1:1 output on one printer, you may not get a 1:1 print on aother printer.
The way I did is make a two round print. Following are the steps:
1) Draw 2 lines on a bland PCB file, one on X , one on Y direction. Suppose both of their length are 2 inches. 2) Print the PCB with 1:1 scale in Protel print option. 3)Measure the length of lines on the paper output. 4) If the line length of output is not 2 inches, calculate the adjustment ratio, and enter it into Protel's X scale and Y scale. 5) You could re-do step 2 to 4 to verify it is trule 1:1 on both X, Y direction. 6) Print the final true 1:1 PCB output.

Subject: [PEDA] To print PCB in scale 1:1
veryHello, everyone,
With your kind help I have completed the PCB of my BGA board. Thank you
memuch. To check the footprint created by myself before manufacturing, I hope to print my PCB in scale 1:1. But cannot get the correct result. The size of output PCB always varies with the paper size I selected. I thought there must be some option to set but I could not find it. Could you please give
advice?
Thank you very much.
