        All though I have now received two opposing replies it seems.

For clarification:
        In P99SE when you rotated a SCH symbol containing text, the text would 
rotate correctly but it would also move compared to the other details and 
features of the symbol. i.e. prior to rotating the symbol the text is beautiful 
and located precisely where you placed it in the SCH library. When you rotate 
the symbol, the text will also rotate but it's location relative to the other 
symbol details changes. In a lot of cases the text ended up over other text, 
pin names, pin numbers or other details of the symbol. It appears as though 
this is related to where the origin of the text is specified and the text 
rotates about it's origin point rather than in relation to the rest of the 
symbol.
 i.e. A pin name or number rotates correctly and stays in place exactly where 
you would want it to be when you rotate the part. The text in a symbol moves 
and is completely useless in some case because it now overlaps other detail(s). 
Sometimes text that was located within the symbol outline and can be found 
outside the symbol outlines after a rotation of the part.


Cheesey P99SE work-around:
        For anybody interested, a cheesy work-around for P99SE was to use a pin 
to place the additional text in the symbol. Remember that I just stated that 
pin numbers and labels rotated correctly. Specify a pin with the text you want 
in it's Pin name or number field. Move the pin around until the text is located 
where you want it. Then edit the pin and turn your pin into a 0 length pin 
(leaves just a small dot). Now you have text in the symbol that will rotate 
properly and stay where you wanted it for any rotation during use in the 
schematic. This solution does have some possible connectivity issues if those 
text pins were to connect to a wire or something unintended like that. It also 
has ramifications when porting libraries over the DXP, this is where I started 
chasing this issue. It was because the DXP library compile process was giving 
me all these errors because of duplicated "" pins.

Brad,

This has been fixed.  Text in a Sch Lib component will stay in the correct 
location as you rotate/flip the component.  The text always seems to remain 
in the "correct" orientation - what I mean is that if you flip the 
component in the Y direction, the text remains the right way up (it is not 
flipped) - but it does get put in the correct location.  If you rotate the 
symbol on the sch text, that was horizontal, will be put vertical when the 
component is rotated by +/-90 degrees. As you rotate through 180 degree, 
though, the text will flip over to remain right-readable, you don't get 
backwards text. It does sit in the correct location - or very close to it in.

Certainly the problem of the location shifting seems to be fixed.  I no 
longer have to write out text using lines to make it look good when rotated.
