Hi Darcy

Actually this is where it's real advantage is. The board file itself isn't 
stored in the in the panel just the ref dedails of origin and rotation so 
you only have a small file. i.e. I just did one that has 2 each of  5 
different boards. The individual boards add up to about 1.5M per set and the 
panel file is only 60K. You can't send the pcb file off for manufacture and 
have to produce gerbers but that's what most people seem to do anyway.

Big plus is you can't accidentally forget to do a paste special and end up 
with C142_1 etc all over the place.
