Brad, Thanks for the reminder about deleting SP6, I might have forgotten.
I am going to try some of the options mentioned by others in answer to my post, before I go into deleting everything. Now that I have a clean install on this PIII that works with all files well, I am confident it is just a problem with the laptop installation, and I am not afraid to transfer the files I need to my P4 xp box to do the work I need to do on that machine right now, which will give me some time to backup all the laptop files, now that I know they are good, and then just wait until I have the time to clean up the laptop. Once again, thanks to all for walking me thru this, it was pretty scarey there for a while when I thought I lost some of my master files in spite of the fact that they were write protected. It is the "absolute clean" uninstall procedure, without it you could still have the problems perpetuate after a re-install because a couple files are not removed by the regular uninstall procedure and they could be the problem in the first place. > > Revision from Protel Tech Support > July 5 2002 > Protel 99SE Complete Uninstall.(New version emailed from Lori Quevedo, > tested, solved my problem that I had using the original "clean" install > procedure.) > > > Version # Protel 99SE/ Service Pack 6: > > PROBLEM: Is there a specific uninstall procedure for Protel?
