"Would you please expand on the meaning of these two sentences?"

In asking this, you are asking for too much. The meaning of these sentences lies in the thoughts they attempt to convey. - I find no fault in the expressions, as such.

"In particular, what concepts / precepts are involved such that a
separation is termed a jump?"

There is a third term in between "concepts" and "precepts". It is that of a percept. Even perceptions seemingly well founded by science are results of experiential habits. Raised into the status of unquestionable, scientific units.

For example, you write down a point, lets take it to be a comma marking the end of a sentence. - You re just so used to viewing it as something very small, that it hs become difficult to view it as something neither small nor large by its very nature, according to a truly topological view.

The same applies with any meanings. they do not have any inherent size. Not even the meaning of, say, number two. - Or atomic numbers, or even perplex numbers.

The key question is and remains: What can you DO with these numbers? - That is something demanding a precept.

Perhaps you have given one to your colleags. - It does not matter a bit, that I have been (so far) unable to grasp the precept.

But if so, I am just as well unable to grasp your percept. Thus I am bound to have difficulties in understanding you concept.

Cheers,

Kirsti

Why / How do you associate these with a principle of “continuity”
of what? Being? Beingness?

Cheers
