Yes - I see your point - but my point was that we shouldn't merge
two types of expression. There is the analysis and interpretation of
a theory, such as those of Peirce - and in such a case, I think we
should frame our comments as our individual interpretation - and not
the ultimate truth.
And - there are one's personal opinions -intellectual or emotive -
which are not interpretations of a theory or text . These obviously
don't have to be prefaced with 'in my view'.

Why the need to ascribe perspective or motive? I find this
inconsistent with your admirable request that we refrain from such
characterizations and "just the facts, ma'am".
