Is it ressentiment or mauvaise foi? One doesn't have to be an admirer of Clinton or Emanuel to be able to distinguish between them and Rice and Abrams. It terms of ill-will, though, the difference between this kind of statement and what one hears from Rush Limbaugh is lost on me. If I recall, it was a frenzy of Bill Clinton-hating that sent Hitchens over to the dark side.
