Iraq, Vietnam, Afghanistan, et al can happen again. That is naked U.S. imperial power expression. Fascism was a kind of mobilized European style mass armies of conquest. Based upon mass political mobilizations in civl society. Those mass mobilizations arose from socialist modeled labor struggles. The defeat of socialist style mass mobilizations of political movements in the U.S. is well known. Much less a militarist mass movement of armed socialist revolt that might suggest to capitalist to stir up their own mass movement and military responses.
