I am not surprised and I am sure you agree with me:

What did he steal?

I keep downloading financial/economic data on my home computer through
NYU and am I stealing anything?

Oh!

Of course NYU pays for that but what happens if I don't download the
data: does my downloading cost anything additional either to NYU or
the data provider? Or if I download the same data five times a day,
because I am a "crazy" mathematician who loses things more often than
not, is that a cost?

I keep downloading data from the Fed many times a day in these days.
Is that a threat to the US economy? Further, they disclose the codes
they used to come up with the numbers they publish more often than
not. Am I stealing anything from the Fed?
