How about some common sense on your part. Regardless of whether 4 scientists did something just awful, the ice caps are still melting. We still have winter cannibalism among Polar Bears. The fucking world is (metaphorically) on fire, and we should not be distracted by whether estimates of the size of the flames are as accurate as we'd like them to be. Why do people who would recognize this kind of quibbling as bullshit in any other field find it of paramount importance in climate science? Maybe some leftists have their own kind of reflexive contrariansm similar to that of the extreme right. Something pisses off conventional liberal it is automatically correct.
