China has the same problem, don´t think I´m singling out India. But at
leat China seems to have some policies trying to tackle it.

I know population control is a controversial subject, but I think
growth of the human population at the current levels is unsustainable

I´m against planned obsolescence. I try to run Linux whenever I can
and my favourite phone is a Palm Centro from 2007. Go figure.

My point is broader and goes beyond ´me´.. when I see people claim the
world needs to "cut back on consumption" I wonder "ok" but who will
decide what kind of consumption is superflous, redundant or should be
avoided.?
