Which is consistent with a common critique of certain types of >leftists, that they simply do not want to grow up.< The Wall Street crowd (including Goldman) have CC's kind of freedom. It's like a herd of toddlers were let loose to play in an airplane's cockpit while in flight with no supervision at all (a.k.a., financial deregulation). Then, if the plane gets into trouble, the toddlers will suffer no negative consequences. Alas, we're the passengers of that plane, who can and do suffer negative consequences. This kind of freedom is much admired among the money libertarians -- though they hope that the ever-benevolent Invisible Hand will keep the plane from crashing. I hope that CC wasn't saying that this kind of freedom is necessarily a positive thing. It should be called "license." -- Jim Devine / "Segui il tuo corso, e lascia dir le genti."
