Ok, so US buyers live in a reality distortion field that keeps them from making 
reasonable choices about hardware ? I don't buy that.

Maybe you need to check the stats.

You're not a fan of the company to I am not going to ask you to hurt yourself 
by listening to the latest keynote, but as far as I can tell, nobody in the 
press contradicted the figures Apple gave then. And the figures seem to show 
that buyers have a certain idea about where to best spend their money.
