Robert Naiman asks: > "crackpot realist"?< I did a little search. As far as I can see, what Carrol says is stuff like "The alternative to the Crackpot Realism that Robert N espouses is to take a longer view." This is criticizing your _opinion_ rather than labeling _you_ as a "crackpot realist." I am not the same as my opinions (nor am I wedded to them), so I doubt that you are, either. of course, it's easy for the first kind of criticism to become the latter (and it can be hard to tell the two apart). It's good to be careful. -- Jim Devine / "Segui il tuo corso, e lascia dir le genti." (Go your own way and let people talk.) -- Karl, paraphrasing Dante. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
