I see nothing wrong with neologisms. A lot of people throw around a lot of
fancy words without defining them. A neologism _forces_ one to define it.
In this case, we might equate "meta-metaphor" with Joe Schumpeter's idea of
a "vision," at least as a first approximation.

The "vision" that Destutt and Dr. M. refer to is simply _one kind_ of
vision of society. Dr. M. had a different vision. There are at least two
definitions of "ideology" floating around. One of them involves "false
consciousness" or a vision that distorts empirical reality. IMHO, Destutt's
vision (of bourgeois individuality) fits that definition, while Marx's does
not. That is, at least according to the chosen definition, there can be
visions or meta-metaphors that aren't ideological.
