I'm flying from Los Angeles to Atlanta in July to present a paper at a
conference. Would it be less destructive to the environment if I drove
or took the train? I know that it would be bad for my job, since I'd
have to skip work, missing somewhere between 2 and 4 class sessions.
Perhaps pen-l should lobby for electronic conferencing instead of the
in-person variety.
