I think so too.  Pen-L is not big enough to make a
difference by itself.  A cultural shift is necessary
according to which flying for frivolous reasons is no longer
ok.  Climate scientists and economists are natural groups to
*start* such a shift.

If it is true that I tried to shame you, then my doubts
about my self-worth interfered with the message I tried to
convey.  Don't write off the message because of this noise.
The need to drastic actions in order to avoid 4 degrees
celsius is scientifically proven.

Things are not so black and white.

Some people in the University administration do not like me,
but others support me.

If I get openly hateful responses to my warning about the
coming disaster in a conversation, I look for a way to end
the conversation which does not burn bridges or otherwise
prevents resumption of the conversation at a later date.
