I think so too. Pen-L is not big enough to make a difference by itself. A cultural shift is necessary according to which flying for frivolous reasons is no longer ok. Don't write off the message because of this noise. Some people in the University administration do not like me, but others support me. If I get openly hateful responses to my warning about the coming disaster in a conversation, I look for a way to end the conversation which does not burn bridges or otherwise prevents resumption of the conversation at a later date.
