1989 is not a year chosen at random. Obviously the financial racket
is about odds. But someone who started in 1989 wouldn't retire until,
what, 2019? 2025? Who knows what's going to happen between now and
then? What about someone who started in 1979? You could do the same
with an American in 1929, but it would be stacking the deck to prove
a point that's mostly wrong.
