I've made another update. The most significant change is the addition
of an 'install' page:

http://pdl.perl.org/future/?page=install

I'll say it right now: This page sucks. I hate it.

At best, this page is a stop-gag measure until PDL 2.4.7 brings some
installation sanity and someone provides *updated* instructions. The
problem is that the wiki instructions are so grossly incomplete and
out of date. The instructions for Windows say that they only apply to
PDL 2.4.3 (!!!!) and the page for OS X only links to Karl's website.
In turn, Karl's website has install files that are **3 years** out of
date, and instructions that are **4 years** out of date.

I think we should just admit that we don't support OS X. In fact, I
don't include OS X at all in the install page I wrote. It's depressing
to think that, as bad as it is, this page is actually an improvement
over going to the wiki. At least it doesn't give you umpteen
instructions for Linux, all of which are 3 years old.

Anyway, I just wanted to be honest about the current status. The lack
of updated and correct install instructions is the biggest gaping hole
on the website and the documentation. I really hope that PDL 2.4.7
allows us to resolve this pressing issue.

Daniel.
