I like it.  It provides the key info when it is known
and makes it clear where to go for information on specific

As discussed, it takes time and effort to get working
documentation starting with finding people willing to
do it on each platform.

Actually, we support OS X at the same level as other unix-type
OSes from the level of building from source.  I don't know
how the SciKarl dmg package compares to apt-get, yum, or other
linux/unix/*bsd package managers.

Finding volunteers to work up current install directions
would also help with the clean-install testing of PDL-2.4.7.
As a starting point, one could begin work with PDL git or
one of the recent CPAN developers releases.
