Elizabeth - You may want to go to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, www.cdc.gov, where you will find lots of info about Hanta virus. States with high incidences of this disease reported to the CDC are in descending order: NM, CO, AZ, CA, WA, MT, TX, UT, NV, ID and OR. In the East, PA leads the way with 9 cases, NY has 3 and the remaining states 1. Mice infected with hantavirus are a known problem in the region where this museum is located. I understand that UV exposure is an effective way to degrade the virus but I wanted to know if anyone has any further recommendations for treating/cleaning objects exposed to infected mice. Thanks for your help, Beth Holford ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To send an email to the list, send your msg to pestlist@museumpests.Net To unsubscribe from this list send an email to pestlist@museumpests.net and in the subject put: "unsubscribe" - no quotes please.
