That's what I did, and haven't regretted it.

The other one I particularly like is where you move your mouse to the
top-right of the screen and all windows (from all desktops) get scaled
to fit (without overlapping) so you can see them on one screen, you then
click one to put it into focus and work with it. Dunno what it's called
though (stuck on a Windows PC at the moment). It's great when you're
waiting on several things at once (DVD rip, CD burn, file download, etc)
to see progress of them all.
