Hi not a problem sorry to have caused a digression regarding the VMware
networking, you are probably right but I just raised it as a suggestion.

If we can rule out the possibliity of VMware's network layer causing a
problem Ed, have you tried googling the version of VMware and the Version of
Linux you are trying to run with the word Networking and see what comes
back?

Not sure what it will tell you if anything but if others have had similar
problems there might be a solution out there. Might also be worth googling
the error message itself to see what results you get.

Regards

Richard
