I have a spare 27c128, 27c256 and a 27c512 EPROM here. Also a Winbond 27E257 EEPROM. If you can find out which one will work, I will program it up if you like.
I've found an Intel NIC card (off Ebay) which when fitted to an old school RM machine gives the required PXE LAN boot.
Looks like this would be cheaper than even a boot ROM chip (let alone the R&D) or an IDE flash module so if the school wants to have a LAN boot without having to power the floppy/HDD/CD drives this is the way to go. The 10W power saving would probably cover the cost of the NIC.
So I think I don't need to take up your kind offer for now. Cheers, Phil _______________________________________________ Peterboro mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/peterboro
