What is your autoconf version ?

The following works :

bash-2.05a$ automake --version
automake (GNU automake) 1.4-p4
bash-2.05a$ autoconf --version
Autoconf version 2.13
bash-2.05a$ libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.2a (1.922.2.100 2002/06/26 07:25:14)
