Hi,

on my debian system, the macro AM_PROG_LIBTOOL is defined in
/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4 and is an alias for AC_PROG_LIBTOOL. It's
saying the AM_ are the old names.

Dou you have the file libtool.m4 ? And if yes, is it defining both
macros ? If the AM_ macro is not defined, try to modify configure.in
with AC_ instead.

Another problem may be that the libtool.m4 is not at the correct place
for aclocal. For example, if you install libtool from sources, it can be
located in /usr/local/share/aclocal. If this is the case, try to modify
the autogen.sh and add -I /usr/local/share/aclocal to the aclocal
command.

Good day.
