Dear Friends, We have one of the odd-ball Crescent records that can be played either vertically or laterally. I learned from an old-time record collector who had several that they were made that way on purpose. He claimed that they were cut on a 45 degree angle. However the resulting sound quality was not good for any length of time due to the conflicting groove design. Either way the grooves wore quickly enough to detract from the sound. Rick A.
