I think Bruce may be on the right track.  If this exhibitor had a  
couple of "old" Eldridge Johnson Monarch machines left in stock plus a  
couple of "new" Victor Talking Machines, he may have made this  
differentiation. We shouldn't try to give the exhibitor too much  
credit for accuracy.
