"These folks" have spent 30+ years building Union from a couple circus
tents to what it is today. They've served the sellers magnificently and
have every right to preserve the integrity of the show for the buyers.
To start something extra the day before the "main event" is selfish,
greedy AND unethical! And ANYONE who does so should be blackballed by
the Donley's as well as by sellers and buyers!! If another show is
needed, do it the week-end before or after and let the public decide -
don't rip-off somebody elses efforts.
best, Darrell

So it appears these folks want to be the only game in town? and are
blackballing anyone who dares to start there own little trading and selling
station, even when it is seperate and apart from their own operation ? That is
highly unethical and down right arrogant. Of course this could merely be one of
those rumors that gets going, based solely on hear say, and snowballs out of
sight. So let's get all of the facts before we all jump on this.

That{But if they are at the Hess Gas Station down the Street, or have
rented some space at some ball field, then what's the problem ??
Certainly nothing wrong with that. Why should someone claim a monopoly
on the whole area just based on tradition.} was the question raised the
last time as I remember.
If you remember back several years there used to be an auction on
Thursday night and this issue did not really surface until the auction
went away.

There has been an issue with trading in the parking lot on the Thursday
before the show in the past. That has expanded to exhibitors trading
just about anywhere on Thursday if its officially organized.
I am reasonably certain that there will be more info flowing forth on
this topic.

Sounds kind of crazy !! Is there something illegal or unethical about starting
your own show, or offering some friendly competition. How bizarre !!
