Will it still be possible to build PHP with external GD libs?
Assuming that is the case, the issue is really moot. Bundling
GD is a good idea; it'll make things much easier and much better
for many people, which is a fundamental PHP approach.
And I understand your trepidation entirely. Nobody wants a
brouhaha with Unisys.
