Over-complicating it? Yes, I must admit that's true. The problem however 
was not that I didn't understand the question, but that I apparently was 
hostile. For someone extra-sensitive, I think I could've looked like 
that, but I still don't think I was out of line with my original reply, 
which sparked the whole discussion.

And yes, I agree that "Are you new to PHP" may sound like an insult - 
depending on the person, maybe even more than my reply.
