Hello Lester Caine

Hope you are well.
Have you had time to apply your expert skillset looking at the ticket?
Your skillset turned out to be critical in fixing the subdomains, we
owe you many thanks for that, and truly hope you can continue your
work and look at the but report (bug#66371) which claims an error in
the typeahead javascript.

You are not listening Hannes ...
The sub-domains are only partially working. They still need some javascript to make them work as expected, or a proper notification that they are not ideal and a later browser should be used. The main site is suffering from the results of not using compatible versions of javascript and I repeat that the way to tidy it up is to remove bootstrap javascript so that the other scripts can run cleanly. I do not have the tools to debug the IE code, which is why I switched to a set of compatibility tools that DO work better with IE7. My fix for the main site is to remove bootstrap! If you are not using it as the compatibility layer, then don't use it at all ... Then we can make all the domains work the same way. IE7 can't display dropdown lists that search is attempting to create and there is no fix for that!

The fix *I* am looking at for search is to do the job properly and produce a properly indexed copy of the contents, but that requires access to all the sub domains including wiki. I'm looking at an import tool to populate a database with all the currently available content.
