Difficult to test, but I have a sneaky feeling that 'html5.js' has to be run AFTER jquery. I know that is the case on my own sites, and since html5.js HAS to be run in the header, jquery has to be loaded there as well?

Google really is becoming a pain as I can't find the articles relating to this now and going back to the search results it's wiping my search terms! I know there are problems with some combinations of jquery, html5.js and modernizer, but the only difference I can see between my own site setup and php.net is that jquery is loaded before html5.js, and the script problem on php.net is with the scripts loading at the end which might support that.

I've got to go and earn some money but I'll try cloning a few pages tomorrow and play with the order of things ... I really can't see why the layout of the pages is wrong :(
