That is pretty cute !
For now I have taken a break of the translation because I have a lot of
things to do + I lost my linux box.
I used to do the "same thing" you do with vim -o2 to open the diff and
my French file. With a simple command "viphp", the script gets the
english tree file, parses the EN-Revision and do all that.
I have a couple of suggestions: in your folder list, you could put a
different icon if one of the files is not translated or old.
I didn't investigate much but do you check if the file is not anymore in
the English Tree? how do you build your files on the left?
I guess there is a way to modify the source online but with his alias
right? oh right, i was in the "testing" script :)
The last thing I would say for now is, the "split", it should be
customizable, such as split vertical or split horizontal. The output of
the Diff you get is from the CVS web server right? I guess I'm used to
the old fashion way + and - without any color. But I can get used to it :)
Good job.

Welcome Yannick,
Sure, the tool is currently running on
http://www.php4arab.info/phpmanual/translation/xmledit/ (Choose
French language to start testing on the phpdoc-fr).
I will also commit it to the cvs into phpdoc/scripts and later
would be available on php.net <http://php.net/> as suggested by
Hannes and Philip.

Hi Salah,
I'm french translator for Php / Pear / Smarty documentation.
Is it possible to view your app running ? Either via an online
demo, or via
screenshoot ?
I'm very interest by your work.
