So only one word comes to mind : WOW. Both for the RED ONE (would
really be cool to have some feedback/testing with gstreamer and pitivi
once you have it so we can be the first open-source editor to support
it) and for having such a versatile person on board :)

The good old problem of open source video editors. You're right not
to have started tackling it on your own... it's a PAINFUL and LONG
process. Maybe in a future mail you can give us your vision of the
ideal editor.

If you've done java... python shouldn't be too hard to catch on.

Maybe you can give us a short explanation of that linux-friendly
script of yours. Maybe we can condense it, or use one/more scene.
If you have a list of the original footage (ok, I might be asking a
lot here) that would be usable, it would be much appreciated. It might
give us more ideas of what we could do.
