Hi and welcome Kyle. I am mostly a lurker here, do have a bit of Python experience but haven't had the time to dig into Pitivi (by the way how does one pronounce Pitivi) sources yet. I'm patiently waiting for the 0.11 release to get me going. The group here seems to have a good grip on what they want and from all I've read have been doing a great job. Can't wait.
