Well, my RED reservation isn't up until December, so I'm patiently waiting, goo'ing over the everyone elses footage (only 25 cameras so far, so there's not much to look at yet). Obviously, the first step in this effort is to get a gstreamer plugin for the REDCODE wavelet codec. But also to ensure that gstreamer/gNonLin/Piviti can handle that kind of footage (4k resolution, 12-bit color, and 100fps). Certainly a good start would be a DPX-sequence source. Local UFO sightings in the desert outside of town, bring together two unlikely UFO enthusiasts determined to get Proof of Existence. But there's a problem. Jordan's, an attractive college student, is a serious researcher. Jim's a hard-core Trekkie, whose presence will taint any finding she makes. But, when Jim discovers Jordan is really a closet Star Wars fan, the weapons go "online". Truth be told, the story is better than the footage. The actress playing Jordan had a hard time with some of her dialog (the script has some difficult lines, and she was pretty inexperienced), but it's still a fun script. We shot it for under $200. And I still need to shoot some pickup shots to make the story work in editing. I'll try and post a copy of the script, and some footage in the next day or two. > Once again, welcome on board.
