Exercise Despite Lethargy and Fatigue?

We are supposed to exercise every day...but how when we have no energy and feel lethargic? I used to be much more in shape (just two years ago)...I ran 5-7 miles/day and worked out regularly. Now, I feel like passing out after walking one mile.

My PCP believes all my problems are due to my lack of exercise...not the half a dozen diseases I was diagnosed with. You would think I was hugely overweight, but I am at what is considered normal (healthy) weight. She believes the answer to every ailment is exercise. I used to exercise 2-3x/day, I loved running and working out...yet, I still got sick.

It has been almost two years since I was diagnosed and my symptoms have just gotten worse. I have not found the energy to exercise regularly. I cannot find the motivation to exercise when I have no energy to do so. I am constantly fatigued and in pain most of the time...whether body aches, migraines, digestive, etc.

For those of you who do have the motivation to exercise, despite lack of energy and fatigue...how do you keep active? What exercises do you do? Walking exhausts me now...so, I'm very limited. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you!

Take care.
